In support of the Youth Emergency Shelter Society (Y.E.S.S.), Scrapperscare.com is hosting a 3-day scrapbooking fundraiser at Kilkenny Hall on May 2 – 4, 2008, to help provide funds for much-needed programs and items for homeless youth in Edmonton and surrounding area.
Y.E.S.S. is an organization that has been serving youth at risk for over 25 years. In that time they have served over 20, 000 youth and many families, providing many programs to support their mission in giving youth at risk a chance. Over 2/3 of the youth have been abused and many have been abandoned by their parents or have left home to avoid dangerous situations. There are often additional medical problems. These youth come from all walks of life and backgrounds with the common need to find support, guidance and stability in a safe and caring environment.
Tickets are $80 each and include a designated cropping area, light lunch Saturday and Sunday, dinner on Saturday, and two classes. We plan to have door prizes and contests throughout the weekend as well as items for raffle. There will also be a concession for coffee and cold drinks. We are thrilled to have Scrap Fever on site (for scrapping needs and incidentals) as well as vendors from Close to my Heart, Stampin' Up, Creative Memories, Epicure and PartyLite.
We are looking for donations to help make the event a success. If you can help in anyway, please contact us.
All profit goes to Y.E.S.S. The entire event is run by volunteers.
